Beginning of the year, maintenance and inspection of the differential. Nothing to report. Next time i will buy oil contains additives that is easy to find like 80W90 TOTAL X4 rather than a separate addendum that costs more than a liter of oil properly.
It goes on with the engine oil drain. 6 liters of 10W40 semi-synthetic oil and KN oil filter.
I had a little problem, quite rare on my car by the way. I ride long with SP95-E10. 3 or 4 times in the past, i had a full complement with E85 with 1/4, or even 1/2 tank of E85 and it had not raised any problems. But then i did a full (65L) of E85 and the engine did not appreciate. Chaotic carburetion 2km after the petrol station. After draining all the tank, i finally recovered from the SP95 and after 2km...... it re-works as before!!
It's April 16th and the big moment has finally arrived. For two years I was eyeing it and I was finally able to buy it !......
........ My second PONTIAC Firebird!!!!!!!!! And yes I won the lottery and I can buy as much as I want it now!
But no kidding eh, no one thought isn't it? No actually, It's been over 2 years that i knew the existence of a firebird Spirit of 1975 not far from my home in a condition of abandon of the past ten years. Well, don't dream, i have not taken for its beauty and even less for a possible restoration project or drag (unfortunately). That is a bank of organ and not too bad at a good price.
I polished my headlight and pilot lights/turn signals with a product to renovate the plastics optics with Meguiars. I do the advertising for products that really work, so here you go!
Almost a year and a half since my last order of parts, times are hard for everyone or almost. No madness except a special aluminum valve covers that I was looking for over 2 years... Replacing the positive battery cable + alternator and naturally the ground wire.
I've replaced the idler arm.
All quiet for quite some time, I drive a little but nothing more.
Third change of radio ... the previous one EONON no longer reads CD/DVD, my daughter was sad (by appointment during Friday's parking lot, she looks at its cartoons ...). I bought another EONON anyway since it is the only model (1205) screen compatible with the dashboard and center console. But always touchscreen 800x434 resolution, 8GB SD card reader...
It's been a while since I put the LEDs in the cockpit (dashboard, ceiling, courtesy lamp), but the lighting of the legs would not work due to reverse polarity. I finally took her hand and I just had to swap two wires in a connector in the dash for this to work, so nothing was cut or weld.
Synthesis of new parts:
- aluminium valve cover
- battery cable
- idler arm
